COUNSELLING DIRECTORY If you are in need of support, search the counselling directory website to be connected with a professional counsellor or psychotherapist. Counselling Directory only lists counsellors and pschotherapists who are members of a recognised professional body or those who have sent us copies of their qualifications and insurance cover.

DRUGSCOPE DrugSearch is DrugScope's online encyclopaedia of drugs and their history, effects and the new law.

Website also has listing for DrugScope publications to purchase.


DWORLD Drugscope has a specific website for 11 - 14 year olds, which features fact files, games and videos. D-World also has a section for parents and teachers.


TURNING POINT Includes an information resources page for professionals.


ALCOHOL CONCERN Specific leaflets available for supporting young people with alcohol related issues. Information can be gained on areas like events, legislation, documents, grants available for interesting work and prospects that are happening. Bookshop and library on line as well.


RE-SOLV (The Society for the Prevention of Solvent and Volatile Substance Abuse),

The COOL SPOT The young teen place to go for information about alcohol and resisting peer influence. (American Site)


ADDACTION A drug and alcohol treatment charity, mainly aimed at adults but van be adapted. Includes drug information, parent section, some publications and linksto other services and web sites. The website has a list of local family supoort services.


ADFAM A national organisation working with and for families affected by drugs and alcohol. They provide direct support to families through publications, training, outreach work and sign posting to local support services.

ALTEEN For young people who are affected by someone else's problem drinking.


CHILDLINE Helpline for children and young people who are in danger or distress.

Telephone counselling for any child with any problem. 24 hour support, advice and referrals.


HIT Produce publications and a range of leaflets suitable for young people or parents/ carers/ professionals.


FAMILY LIVES A web page and freephone helpline dedicated to offering support and information to anyone parenting a child. (Taken over from Parentline) Includes resources for teachers on alcohol and drug education.


EDUCATION.GOV Webpage dedicated to all things related to education including Drugs and alcohol and PSHE.
